Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order appears to be boldly going where no Star Wars game has gone before. Well, at least no Star Wars game published by EA. Now just a mere two days ahead of release, data miners have managed to dig up some pretty exciting facts about Cal Kestis’ forthcoming adventures.

Compiled by Reddit user TheMasterSkywalker on a sub dedicated entirely to leaks regarding the popular franchise, the community has been granted access to a ton of new info concerning the game’s mechanics, environments, and villains. The leaks also cover Cal’s move sets extensively, and, based on what we’ve seen thus far, it seems like Fallen Order will play a bit like a mix between the Uncharted and Dark Souls games.

In terms of setting, Respawn has stated that players will have the opportunity to explore several planets throughout their journey, some of which will be new to series canon. As far as anyone can tell, the planets mentioned in the leaked game files are Bogano, Zeffo, Kashyyyk, Dathomir, and Ilum. We’ve also seen a list of NPCs, though we don’t know the extent to which they’ll be used in the game. This includes expected entries like Snowtroopers and Wookies to less-anticipated items like zombies, and younger version of Cal, and even a file labeled “Saw,” most likely a reference to Saw Gerrera from Rogue One.

The subreddit also provides a list of Cal’s moves along with a few brief snippets of video detailing exactly what some of them do. There’s the typical Force grab, push, etc., but there’s also mention of things like “Jedi Evade,” “Lightsaber Throw,” and “Lightsaber Transform Attack.”

Included with screenshots of these files is one in-game screencap of particular intrigue: it’s an image of Cal brandishing a dual-bladed saber. It’s strikingly similar to Darth Maul’s famous weapon, though it’s Jedi-cyan instead of Sith red. Plus, there’s also a mention of lightsaber colors, the standouts being indigo, yellow, and orange, among others.

Finally, the most significant find is a mention of the game’s villain. Obviously, this is pretty deep into spoiler territory, so those looking to steer clear of plot details may want to skip over this info.

Some of the game files reference the Grand Inquisitors, Imperial Jedi hunters tasked with eliminating those who escaped Order 66. They’ve been shown off in promo material already, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. What’s interesting, however, is that there are multiple references to Darth Vader found in these leaks, indicating that the Dark Lord of the Sith will show up in some capacity.

Again, it’s impossible to make any definitive determinations about the game, but these leaks should definitely pique the interest of skeptical fans. EA’s review embargo seems to have discouraged some, but we may well be in for a Star Wars gaming experience the likes of which we haven’t seen in nearly a decade.
