Star Wars Battlefront’s free Battle of Jakku DLC is available now for those who pre-ordered the shooter, with everyone else getting the content on December 8.
The Battle of Jakku is described as a “pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

The Battle of Jakku was created through a collaboration between DICE and Lucasfilm, and includes two maps as well as the new Turning Point mode.
