If you’ve ever looked up at the stars and wondered: ‘Man, I wish there was something floating up there so I could do all those fancy zero gravity stunts that they do in sci-fi movies,’ then we bring you good news. Yes, your dream is about to come to fruition as Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E), the production company spearheading Tom Cruise‘s upcoming still-untitled space flick, is set to take to the stars with its new film studio.
That’s right, S.E.E has officially unveiled plans to build and launch a space station – dubbed SEE-1 – that’ll be tethered to its very own production studio with the aim to embark by Dec. 2024.
Interestingly, the futuristic space studio won’t be the only unique module on the spaceship, as S.E.E also intend to fashion a sports and entertainment arena as well.
As you may’ve already guessed, the cosmic studio will play host to all manner of sci-fi projects. From films, television, and music to sporting events, the new space station will help up-and-coming producers, directors, and actors to make new content in a zero gravity setting.
Of course, it’s likely that this project will be pretty costly. As a result, S.E.E is planning to raise funds to help make its dream-like vision a reality. Co-founders Elena and Dmitry Lesnevsky had this to say about the ambitious undertaking (H/T, Variety):
Pretty crazy, right? But what say you? How do you feel about this new cosmic film studio? Beam yourselves down to the usual place below to let us know.
