Sony To Extend Ps Plus Memberships Following Psn Outage

Sony has announced plans to extend the subscriptions of PlayStation Plus users as compensation for last night’s PSN outage.

The online service went down for multiple hours yesterday evening before being restored at around 5am GMT this morning. A reason for the outage has not been disclosed.

PlayStation Now and video rentals will also be extended to make up for the downtime.

Details on the extensions are expected to be posted on the official PlayStation Twitter account, where Sony has advised fans to “stay tuned”.
