Sony has offered to extend PlayStation Plus members’ subscriptions by one day following an outage on PlayStation Network earlier this month.

The outage saw Sony’s network go down for multiple hours on Monday, January 4, leaving players unable to sign in to PSN or play online multiplayer games.

Affected players will have received an email containing a voucher code over the weekend, which adds an extra day on to their PlayStation Plus subscription. The code must be redeemed by midnight on March 31, 2016 for the offer to remain valid, Sony says.

Xbox Live, meanwhile, suffered a similar outage last week, prompting US rapper Snoop Dogg to send a message to Microsoft and its co-founder Bill Gates.
