Sony has revealed during its latest earnings call that its next-generation console, which, let’s face it, will probably be called PlayStation 5, won’t be released before April 2020.
That means no new PlayStation console until May next year at the very earliest, although typically, Sony tends to launch new hardware in the back half of the year, at least for the US and UK.
That’s your lot, though. Sony didn’t say anything else about when we can expect the PS5, so we’ll just have to play the waiting game again.
As reported earlier today, Sony announced another milestone for worldwide PS4 sales, with 2018 proving to be the console maker’s most profitable year to date.
