Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne Remaster Is Headed To The Nintendo Switch

A remaster of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne has been announced in today’s Nintendo Direct Mini. 

Now, it’s on its way to the Switch, with high-definition visuals. Whether it will include the content added in the director’s cut of the game, like new songs and a guest appearance from Devil May Cry’s Dante, is unconfirmed at the moment. We’ll keep you updated once we know more.

Released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is the third game in the series. It received a warm reception, for its influences drawing from Gnosticism and Mahayana Buddhism and its ‘80s-themed soundtrack, as well as its departures from Shin Megami Tensei conventions. The third-person perspective and the cel-shaded style let it stand out from other RPGs of the time, and contrasted it with its own earlier entries.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is coming to the Switch in spring 2021.
