Display

Performance

Where the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra dominates with its advanced display, the iPad Pro decimates with its superior CPU. The Apple M2 chip is so powerful that it’s almost worth using in a laptop.

Its performance outpaces the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 by nearly two times. This makes the iPad Pro perfect for those running heavy apps or playing demanding video games. 

Combine that with the device’s massive storage and it’s hard to want any other device. Apple’s newest iPad Pro starts with 128GB options and rises all the way up to 2TB.

This is over four times the storage of Samsung’s largest tablet, which comes with a maximum of 512GB. Both devices come with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra also offering a 12GB version.

Battery

Apple might have a smaller battery in its tablet, but it performs well. The 10,750mAh lithium-ion battery has a rated lifespan of up to 10 hours, according to the manufacturer. This compares strongly to Samsung’s battery, which is bigger but has more work to do.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra only has an average battery life of up to 9 hours, despite its huge, 11,200 lithium-polymer battery. On the other hand, what’s the battery life worth if the device charges slowly?

Apple’s flagship tablet charges at half the speed. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra supports 45W wired charging and can charge up to 41% in 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro only supports 20W wired charging and can charge the battery up to 20% in 30 minutes.

Price
