Sai is a third person action game set in an ancient Celtic forest invaded by machines, and 80 per cent of its profits are donated to charities fighting deforestation.

It’s a little like Horizon Zero Dawn with a dash of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, in my opinion. The machines attacking the forest seek the Heart Tree, which generates the magic keeping the world alive. “Though its presence is now but a lost memory, the machines remain, determined to find this all powerful entity,” reads the description from Studio Mutiny. “As a Druid, protector of the natural world, you must explore this beautiful realm, harness the power that still lingers here, and uncover its dark past.”

The day has finally arrived! After a year of insanity, hard work, ups and downs, and unforgettable memories, we are so so proud to share #SAI with you all! We thank everyone who has stood by us. All our peers, friends, and family, you helped make this happen #gamedev #indiedev pic.twitter.com/rHnZOORYwx

This is the developers debut game, and “as an eco-conscious indie games development studio,” the team seeks to “reawaken the love and respect for nature we are all capable of” in their work. Sai is available for PC through itch.io for a minimum donation of £5.00.
