Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher has given us not only several hours of quality monster-slaying but also some great support characters, intriguing storylines, and of course, Jaskier. The renamed bard, known as Dandelion in the games, offers light-hearted comic relief and will forever be remembered for his already iconic jingle, “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.”

The catchy tune has captured the hearts of fans, making its way into memes, Beat Saber and even The Witcher 3 itself. Now, Brazilian rock and metal singer Dan Vasc has kicked the tune up a notch by releasing a metal version of the song on his YouTube channel.

“Toss A Coin To Your Witcher” lends itself perfectly to the metal genre, with Vasc needing to do little to the basic tune in order to add his own unique flair. The result is quite frankly a masterpiece in itself, building slowly to a truly metal finish in style.

At the end of the video, Vasc tells us how much he loves The Witcher franchise, especially the third installment. In fact, he loves it so much that Jaskier’s masterpiece may not be the only Witcher song we hear from him. Vasc seems eager to cover more of the music from the show, so if you enjoyed the cover then check out his channel and keep an eye out for more.

Vasc appears to not place limits on his music or his genres, with his covers ranging from heavier songs like AC/DCs “Highway To Hell” all the way to Toto’s “Africa.” Amongst his list of more well-known songs by artists including Metallica, Nightwish, Led Zepplin, and Bon Jovi, he’s also not afraid to dive into niche content.

You can find a power metal version of “Guren No Yumiya,” the opening to popular anime Attack on Titan and English and Japanese versions of “Cha-La Head Cha-La,” the Dragon Ball Z intro. There are even songs from The Hobbit in there.

With the popularity of “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher” increasingly daily, it’s surely only a matter of time before this becomes one of many, many cover versions of the memorable tune which may well be more popular that Geralt himself.

The Witcher’s first season is currently available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
