Rare is offering a Battletoads-themed ship set in Sea of Thieves to celebrate the launch of Battletoads, the reboot of the original 1991 release (via Destructoid). The Fightin’ Frogs ship set is a glorious green, decorated with a lime-green toad skull. It’s quite the statement, and why not, when the Battletoads series has made its triumphant return to the small screen. Battletoads, which is out now, is intended to replicate the classic experience of the original 1991 title and combine it with the power of the PC and Xbox One....

Sega is teasing a big show for its its boy in blue. On May 27, Sega will host a Sonic the Hedgehog event, called Sonic Central, for the mascot’s 30th anniversary. The company is promising quite a show, covering “upcoming projects, partnerships, and events to celebrate.” Sonic fans have been anticipating a celebration for some time now. Square Enix has confirmed details on The Forge, the first slice of post-launch DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Today, it was revealed that Sony plans to launch a new version of the PS5 in the 2023 fiscal year. The director of Scarlet Nexus has discussed his desire for an “even more mature” sequel.
