Sony has announced a new partnership with Spotify to bring the music service to PS3 and PS4 later this spring. Spotify will act as the exclusive partner for PlayStation Music, a brand new ‘music destination’ that will let PS3 and PS4 users access their Spotify playlists and listen to music directly through their console. PS4 users will also be able to use the service to listen to Spotify while playing games – something PS3 users, it seems, won’t be able to do – with “other great features” due to be announced closer to launch....

The long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been given a new, grim trailer, as part of Microsoft’s July showcase, and it looks quite, quite Stalkery. Normally, I’m a bit wary when Star Wars shows bring in guest stars, which usually comes off more like publicity stunts than anything substantial. A good example is the Forest Whitaker’s appearance as Saw Gerrera on Star Wars Rebels, which never quite went anywhere. Former Sega of America president and founding member of Sony Computer Entertainment America, Bernie Stolar, has died aged 75 years old. According to GamesBeat, Stolar - whose career started in 1980 when he set up his own coin-op arcade company - died in California. Recently concluded was the closed beta for a new, old, but still relatively new battle royale from developer Pearl Abyss, creators of the popular Korean MMORPG, Black Desert Online. Shadow Arena was first introduced as a content update for Black Desert Online, later being removed from the MMORPG to be repurposed into a fully-fledged, standalone title set in the same universe. The first trailer for Shazam! Fury of The Gods has just been released and sees the return of Zachary Levi as the titular hero. Shotty Snipers has been a fan-favorite mode in the Halo series, and it might be returning in Halo Infinite. A recent datamine by Twitter user InfiniteLeaks displayed lines of code that included the phrase “AttritionFFAS2EventShottySnipes.” This leads us to believe that Shotty Snipers could return to Halo as part of a limited-time event during Season 2.
