Soulstone Survivors is an attempt at genre alchemy. It asks whether or not you can take the flashy, screen-covering abilities of conventional top-down action RPGs and apply them to a Vampire Survivors shell. It’s an experiment in many ways, and that rough, untamed feeling is part of its charm. It’s also rough in the sense that it’s unpolished and sometimes frustrating. Earlier today, Netflix confirmed, via Deadline, that the second season of Space Force is officially heading to Netflix on Feb. 18, 2022. The next installment in the series is set to feature seven episodes, picking up right where the first season left off. While co-creator and showrunner Greg Daniels is set to return for season 2 of Space Force, it was also revealed earlier this year that Norm Hiscock (Parks & Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) has joined Daniels as co-showrunner....

The reveal of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a very welcome surprise during Sony’s PlayStation 5 event in June. The standalone game will not only explore Miles Morales’ origin story further but also show how he’s grown as a superhero. “The latest adventure in the Spider-Man universe will build on and expand Marvel’s Spider-Man through an all-new story,” Sony said about the standalone game in a blog post published right after the reveal....

Square Enix has today announced an external development partnership with People Can Fly, the studio that brought you Bulletstorm (the header image) and co-developed Gears of War: Judgement. They’re working on a ‘new high-end original title for console and PC. There are no real clues about what they’re making. Lee Singleton, Head of Studio at Square Enix London Studios, said ‘We’re building a game we all want to play which will be the perfect addition to our portfolio....

Many have wondered exactly what Square Enix would be bringing to E3 2019. Only recently did we learn that they would take the stage for a full presentation during the annual video game expo. Saudi Arabia’s Savvy Games Group, owned by the state’s sovereign wealth fund, has announced its intention to invest 142bn riyals (£32bn) into the video game industry, as part of the country’s wider initiative to diversify its economy away from oil.
