Ubisoft introduced its pirate ship fighting game, Skull and Bones, back at E3 2017. The game promised cannon blasts and downed masts while players fight in open ocean waters. Things seemed peachy as a release window for Skull and Bones was set for the following year. Since then, the game has gone all but dark, leaving fans wondering if it was still a project Ubisoft was invested in. The most innovative aspect of Lord of the Rings game Shadow of Mordor was its Nemesis system that had enemies being promoted after killing you. Now it’s in Skyrim, thanks to modder Syclonix (via PC Gamer). The rumors were true, Sonic Frontiers has been announced for a release in late 2022. First teased earlier in the year on the Sonic Central livestream, the new Sonic game was shrouded in mystery. Technically, it still is. But the trailer itself suggests that leaks calling it an open-world game appear to have been accurate. Developer Endnight Games has announced its upcoming game Sons of the Forest has been delayed. Sons of the Forest is the sequel to Endnight’s The Forest, and promises plenty more unnerving gameplay for survival-horror fans.
