You might recognize Esposito as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad, but here he’s an intimidating Imperial warlord, dressed in black and ready to exterminate the bounty hunter scum on Nevarro, as well as anyone who fails him (as the Client quickly learns)....

That can probably apply to Sea of Thieves, which seems to have gotten stronger and stronger over the past three years. To celebrate its third anniversary, developer Rare is hosting a bit of a Sea of Thieves party. The festivities begin today, March 18, starting with this year’s anniversary gift....

Sega has released the opening animation for Sonic Mania, and all those memories of the Sonic we all used to love have come flooding back. The opening animation has been created by one of the artists who used to contribute to the Archie Comics Sonic line, Tyson Hesse, his unique style is all over this video. You should give it a watch, it’s grand. Sonic Mania is a Sega published fan-led remix of the original Mega Drive Sonic games, created by Sega America in collaboration with Pagoda West Games, Christian Whitehead and Simon Thomley....

Not many franchises are brave enough to venture into multiple genres, and even when they do, they usually fail. The only one that comes to mind for me is Yakuza, which recently had a brilliant transition from an action series into turn-based RPG with Yakuza: Like a Dragon. However, one franchise has been doing it for much, much longer: SteamWorld. Since the first entry in the franchise back in 2010, a tower defender, the SteamWorld games have managed to keep it fresh with new ideas each time around....

Sifu’s previously teased free autumn update is now here, adding a nifty replay editor to developer Sloclap’s acclaimed martial arts adventure on PC and PlayStation. There’s more too, but the replay editor is undoubtedly the star of the show, giving players the tools to turn their favourite takedowns into cinematic mini-masterpieces. There are options to adjust camera placement, for instance, to define lens parameters, choreograph camera movement, and even add effects including slo-mo and speed-ups....

It’s been years since Konami has released a game in the Silent Hill series, with the last entry being an unfortunate entry in the company’s pachinko line-up. But it could be planning something fairly soon, as a new trademark suggests that the franchise might be making a return. An application filed over on the Government of Canada page shows a clear filing for Silent Hill by Konami Digital Entertainment Company back on July 25, 2019....

A loyal member of the Companions and a potential follower, as well as a marriage candidate later on in the game, Aela the Huntress is one of the most popular characters in Skyrim. Her archery skills are a great addition to the kit of any close combat fighters who need a reliable follower. Moreover, she’s one of the more fleshed-out NPCs in the game, along with being an essential character that is unkillable....

Angry Mob Games has announced Brawlout, a new Super Smash Bros-alike fighter currently in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Due for release in Q1 2017, Brawlout is described as an 8-player platform fighter that puts players in control of a variety of animals fighting for the “pride of their people”, and promises “the precision of violent fighters with a gorgeous animated style”. Online and local multiplayer is supported along with a full single-player campaign, with each animal said to have access to “vastly different combat styles”....

Riot Games has made it clear that Valorant’s map pool will only ever number seven at most at any one time. Following the launch of Pearl, that meant taking one map out of the rotation to make room, and Split was chosen as the sacrificial lamb. Ever since then, many players within the community have been hankering for its return, and by the sounds of it, they won’t have to wait too much longer....

1047 Games has announced that it’ll be launching the Beta Season 1 of its popular FPS-with-portals, Splitgate on January 27. The season will be headlined by the introduction of a custom map creator. Players will be able to create maps by creating and placing objects, weapons, spawns, portal walls and more. There’s rotation and magnetic snapping options, as well as controller, keyboard and mouse support for ease of use. Budding map creators will even be able to co-create and share their maps with friends....
