Microsoft’s game subscription service Xbox Game Pass will be removing some major game releases soon. The service does add games regularly, with new Xbox Game Pass titles like Two Point Hospital and Wasteland Remastered recently being added. However, older games are often removed from the library, and more are departing soon. Sega has unveiled a new post-launch content roadmap for Sonic Frontiers, promising the likes of new playable characters and story content across three free DLC updates throughout 2023. There’s no estimated time of arrival for any of Sonic Frontier’s newly announced updates, but the first will introduce a juke box, photo mode, and a selection of new challenge modes. Die Gute Fabrik, developer of Johann Sebastian Joust and Sportsfriends has announced their newest game Mutazione, coming later this year. The adventure game takes place in a world that, 100 years prior to the story, was hit by a giant meteor known as the ‘Moon Dragon’ which hit a holiday resort, wiping out most of the residents and mutating the others. These mutated survivors banded together to form their own community known as the titular Mutazione....
Star Wars Battlefront is joining the EA Access and Origin Access Vault next Tuesday, December 13, EA has announced. That means subscribers will be able to play the full base game at no additional cost. Videos demonstrating emulation of Nintendo consoles on Valve’s Steam Deck are being pulled from YouTube. The videos show off the Yuzu and Dolphin emulators running on the Deck, which emulate Switch and Wii games respectively (thanks, Nintendo Life). It’s not clear who exactly is issuing the takedown requests, but given many of the channels have similar videos showing emulation of other non-Nintendo platforms that are still on the site, one could make an educated guess that it’s Nintendo itself....
Valve is helping to reduce the clutter on gamers’ desks by removing the need for the Steam Link box as the way to stream games on screens not directly connected to a PC. Announced last week, the Valve Steam Link app is now available on Apple iOS devices, granting Steam users the ability to stream their game libraries directly to their Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad.
