Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 has clambered its way to the top of the UK Charts following its launch on February 7, comfortably outpacing sales of the PS2 original in the process. According to Chart-Track, physical sales of the remake were up 73 percent on the 2006 version of the game, which hit UK stores way back in February 2006. The figure does not include digital copies of the Bluepoint Games-developed remake, making it all the more impressive....

Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn will arrive kicking and punching in stores and digitally on June 5, Saber Interactive and Wired Productions have announced. The flashy beat-’em-up is something of follow-up to the original Shaq-Fu released back in 1994 (also known as one of the worst video games ever made), and sees Big Diesel bringing home the pain across Hollywood and hell as he attempts to avenge his home and fallen master....

During the PC Gaming Show at E3 2021, developer Lavapotion and Coffee Stain Publishing (you may know the latter from Valheim), announced a release window for strategy RPG, Songs of Conquest. The window is Q1 2022, and it can’t arrive soon enough. Songs of Conquest reminds me of the old-school Heroes of Might and Magic, but better. It’s a turn-based strategy adventure with RPG elements and kingdom management. You’ll build armies, battle opposing factions, and conquer new lands....

Sony CFO Hikori Totoki reaffirmed the company’s position on releasing its first-party AAA games on day one, as part of a subscription. Sony’s revamped PlayStation Plus will roll out this June. It will offer subscribers a library of hundreds of games, but it won’t feature new exclusive releases. Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, of course, does offer its first-party games on launch. (Though, it must be said, there aren’t all that many of them at the moment....

Madame Web is coming to the big screen… or at least getting a feature film script. According to Collider, Sony Pictures has hired Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Morbius) to pen a Madame Web movie set in the Spider-Man universe. Madame Web first appeared in Marvel Comics in November 1980, in The Amazing Spider-Man #210. Written by Denny O’Neil with art by John Romita Jr., the issue sees Spider-Man seek the help of Cassandra Webb, aka Madame Web, and her clairvoyant, precognitive powers in finding kidnapped Daily Globe published K....

Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released a new video about the growing space simulator, focusing on upcoming content. First of all, we get to see the new river technology that will be implemented in the game, starting with the first river on Microtech coming in Alpha 3.17. The second part of the video focuses on new features coming to the reputation system in future patches, which will let players to work more meaningfully with or against the NPC factions in the universe....

Valve has announced that its portable Steam Deck system will officially launch on February 25.
