The two most highly expected upcoming MMOs have (coincidentally?) both begun their closed betas this weekend. Final Fantasy XIV, after a very publicized Alpha, began its closed beta today, and Star Wars: The Old Republic posted an announcement yesterday stating that “Game Testing … is underway”. While invites for both betas have already been sent out, be sure to check your email over the coming weeks as each game’s beta continues to grow....
In a first for the series, Street Fighter 6 lets you change your character’s facial expression during the versus screen. Capcom revealed the feature via a short clip posted to Twitter, below, that shows Luke and Ryu change their facial expression a couple of times with the camera up close and personal. “Show your attitude with the Game Face Feature in #StreetFighter6 by pressing directional buttons during the versus screen,” reads the tweet....
Back to the Future’s iconic DeLorean is heading to the PS4 version of Rocket League later this month, Psyonix has announced. Available from October 21, the ‘Back to the Future Car Pack’ will let players take to the pitch in the 1980s time machine complete with folding wheels and a flaming ‘Burnt Rubber’ Rocket Trail. “Truth be told, we used to fantasise and joke about having the DeLorean in our game months before it even came out,” vice president of marketing Jeremy Dunham said on PlayStation Blog....

Here, your controller is a real guitar. Rocksmith+ is designed as an educational experience, allowing players to plug in their guitar and play along. Players can learn how to play guitar at their own pace but in an interface similar to popular rhythm games in the market....

Earlier this month, information was revealed by CD Projekt Red (CDPR) that the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game would be delayed until later in the year. Initially scheduled for an April release, the game was pushed back until September, ultimately causing eager fans to wait extra months before experiencing the game. At the time of the announcement regarding the delay, the developers stated that the game still needed more time for “playtesting, fixing and polishing” because they were hoping Cyberpunk 2077 would be their “crowning achievement” upon release....
