Sony has lifted the wraps off the full lineup of PlayStation Plus games for December, with SOMA leading the charge. There’s three PlayStation 4 games up for grabs next month including SOMA, the others being Iconoclasts and Onrush. On the PlayStation 3 front, there’s Steredenn: Classic and Steins; Gate available for free. Bringing up the rear are two PlayStation Vita games in the shape of Iconoclasts (which is Cross-Buy with the PS4 release) and Papers, Please....

AS part of the CES press conference that gave us the reveal of the PlayStation VR2, we also learned that Guerilla Games and Firesprite Games are working together on a game that will take advantage of the new hardware. That game is Horizon Call of the Mountain, and if you have been itching for more details, you are in luck. Sony has confirmed that Horizon Call of the Mountain will be shown off at the upcoming State of Play happening on June 2....

Today Atlus released two more trailers for its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, showing one of the demons of the game and more. The first trailer explains the setting of the game, then moves on to the playable character Saizo, his ex-girlfriend and current antagonist Ash, and finally touches on demon fusion and progression. Do keep in mind that this trailer has English subtitles, so remember to activate them. The second is the usual daily trailer and we get the reveal of Basilisk, another demon that has been around basically forever in the SMT franchise and was also included in Shin Megami Tensei V....

Bandai Namco Games has announced that NieR: Automata’s 2B will arrive in SoulCalibur VI on December 18. 2B will rock up in a character pack featuring a bunch of extra goodies, such as themed parts and stickers, an alternate costume, weapons, and a NieR: Automata-themed stage and accompanying score. Soul Calibur VI was released in October for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and I thought it was an absolute corker....

Sony has announced that Spider-Man expandalone follow-up Spider-Man: Miles Morales will head to PC next month. The announcement follows the launch of the PC version of Spider-Man Remastered back in August, and like that game – porting studio Nixxes has added a bunch of PC enhancements. The PC version features include Ray Traced reflections and shadows, as well as an unlocked framerate and ultrawide display support, making the game look better than ever....

Spider-Man: Remastered finally escaped the confines of the PlayStation consoles and came to PC last month. So far, it seems to have survived the transition well. Its ‘overwhelmingly positive’ Steam user score suggests that Nixxes Software has continued to bolster its track record of developing optimized, polished PC ports. This should bode well for the PC port of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which we knew lay on the horizon ever since the announcement of the Spider-Man: Remastered port back in early June....

The second chapter of Spider-Man’s The City That Never Sleeps DLC, Turf Wars, is out today, so obviously Sony and Insomniac Games have polished off a launch trailer for you to gawk at. It’s another one of those ‘just the facts’ videos featuring J. Jonah Jameson, which is always a plus. Of the seemingly endless stream of games that Square Enix has been teasing us with for years, the unreleased Final Fantasy Versus XIII is the one I’ve been anticipating the most. Developed by the same team behind the Kingdom Hearts series, FF Versus XIII is an action RPG that was announced at E3 way back in 2006, and in true Square tradition we’ve seen hardly anything from the game other than a few screenshots and some scant story details since....

Square Enix knew that making Rise of the Tomb Raider a timed exclusive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 “would, in the short-term, disappoint fans”, the publisher’s CEO of Europe and the Americas Phil Rogers has said. Microsoft’s “passion” for the project, however, will help Crystal Dynamics deliver “an awesome game that people will enjoy for years and years to come”, and, Rogers believes, help the IP grow. “I hope fans know that it wasn’t an easy decision,” Rogers told Examiner....

A number of community figures have expressed their disappointment publicly, including NaVi star Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. Turn-based action-strategy game SteamWorld Heist is coming to PS4 and PS Vita on Tuesday, May 31, Image & Form Games has announced. The game had previously been exclusive to Nintendo 3DS. The game, which the developer says has been inspired by strategy games Worms and XCOM, will be available for £15.99, with a 15% discount available to anyone who pre-orders.
