Roswell, New Mexico Episode 10 Review While it’s somewhat unusual to have a 13-episode season on the CW, Roswell, NM has certainly made the most of it, quickly becoming a fan favorite and erasing any lingering concerns about rebooting yet another beloved property. Some fans wish for a 22-episode extension this season, or a full run next season, but so much about what works on Roswell makes a great case for a compact, well-conceived nighttime soap that’s full of equal parts nostalgia and contemporary social sensibilities....

It’s being reported that a sequel to post-apocalyptic open world zombie shooter Days Gone won’t be happening, after Sony rejected plans that were rumoured to be underway at Bend Studios. An extensive report looking behind the scenes at how PlayStation have been managing their internal studios from Bloomberg cites sources “familiar with the proposal” as claiming that plans for said sequel were pitched that same year following the first game’s launch, but were rejected due to a mixed critical reception for the game and a follow up was not seen as a viable option....

Classic point-and-click adventure duo Sam & Max are returning in a remastering of their first Telltale Games offering called Sam & Max Save the World Remastered, heading to Nintendo Switch and PC next month. The remaster is coming care of Skunkape Games, who are a small development team made up of former Telltale staffers who worked on the original game including original Telltale co-founder Dan Connors, with the studio acquiring the Sam and Max rights after Telltale shuttered its doors back in 2018....

Those who have kept up with recent gaming news will know that companies see major money-making opportunities in NFTs. Many of these companies boast that NFTs will change the future of gaming for the better, but it remains difficult to imagine a future in which NFTs aren’t used in exploitative ways like microtransactions. Last week, Sega did offer some hope by saying it would not pursue NFTs if the playerbase’s negative reaction to them continues....

While players might be Dragonborn in Skyrim, there are still plenty of gods and princes that wish to control them. The rewards for some of these quests are incredible, providing bonuses not possible in other items. More important than the reward, however, is the journey. Unfortunately, some of these quests pale in comparison to other Daedric quests players can embark on. With that said, good Daedric quests are some of the best in not only Skyrim but the entire Elder Scrolls franchise thus far....

During today’s developer Livestream, Jagex revealed details on the upcoming Halloween event for RuneScape. The live stream featured community manager Mod Hooli, live stream producer Mod Spear, and junior content developer Mod Zura. Celebrating Halloween has become a tradition for Jagex, with this being the eighteenth Halloween event released for its popular MMORPG. This year’s event will function as an expansion of last year’s. Once again, it will take place at the Halloween Hub in Draynor Manor....

Sniper Elite 5 on Xbox One In 2017, Sniper Elite 4 pushed all the right buttons for me. Its combat was simple yet satisfying –especially the kill cams– and its open world featured just enough explorative elements to help set it apart from other sniper games. Unfortunately, it is no longer 2017, something that Sniper Elite 5 didn’t get the memo on. The plot of Sniper Elite 5 picks up in 1944, as players once again take control of Karl Fairburne, an elite sniper from the Allied Powers....

The Sonic the Hedgehog series has a long history that’s full of memorable classics, eyebrow-raising flops, and now a very successful film adaptation. Supposing new life has been injected into the Sonic franchise, it’s about time to get on the development of a Sonic Adventure remake. Sonic the Hedgehog, which came out on Valentine’s Day, wasn’t necessarily the best video game adaptation ever made. Fortunately, it’s great cast managed to offset some of its bad qualities — such as a play-it-safe script....

A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming Netflix series Sonic Prime. This new trailer gives us a better idea of the story as Sonic the Hedgehog is forced into an alternate dimension where Eggman is the ruler and everything is different. Fortunately, a new dimension means new gear for Sonic in his endless quest to go fast and we get a look at not only new gloves for the speedster but also new shoes still in the iconic red....

Sonic the Hedgehog has been a much bigger success than many expected, with the family film dominating the weekend box two weeks in a row. On top of being a financial success, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie has even earned a decent critical reaction and has been well-received by fans of the franchise. However, some fans expressed disappointment that some of their favorite characters didn’t make the cut, like Knuckles the Echidna....

Bandai Namco Games has unsheathed a new Soul Calibur VI trailer for your consumption, this time scrutinising main antagonist Nightmare under the microscope. Nightmare is part of the furniture as far as Soul Calibur goes, having first appeared in the original Soul Edge and going on to show up in all subsequent games in the sword-slashing franchise. Nightmare is able to possess other characters, and in the past has typically favoured Siegfried or Inferno; however, Soul Calibur V saw him as a new being entirely, going by the alias Graf Dumas in an attempt to take over the world....

Today Atlus released another daily trailer for its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, showing one of the demons appearing in the game. This time around, we get a look at Ippon-Datara, one of the demons that debuted in the original Soul Hackers and has recently appeared in Shin Megami Tensei V. As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope, which places Pisces at the top of the fortune ranking and Gemini at the very bottom....

South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the sweary action-RPG sequel developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and South Park Digital Studios, is coming to the Nintendo Switch this year. Launching for the Big N’s hybrid powerhouse on April 24, South Park: The Fractured But Whole will offer Switch owners the chance to snap up the two previously released downloadable content packs, Danger Deck and From Dusk Till Casa Bonita. In addition, the third expansion, Bring the Crunch, will launch this summer....

Thanks to the release of the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimension box-art we now know the face of the fourth Spider-Man. The only problem is that’s all we know. Nothing has been revealed about which dimension he comes from or his abilities. As of now, this Spidey doesn’t come with his own trailer showing off his fighting styles or revealing background info like the other Spider-Men. From the looks of it, it would appear that he is Symbiotic Spider-Man, a discovery our writer Evan found months ago, first encountered in the Secret Wars era in Marvel Comics....

Spiders, the developer of the fantasy ARPG GreedFall, is going to reveal a new game. However, it is unlikely that we’re looking at GreedFall 2, because Spiders has not made a sequel to any of the eight games in its portfolio. GreedFall did get nominations for Best RPG at the 2019 Titanium Awards, for Game, Original Role Playing at the NAVGTR Awards, and for Best Message-Bearer Game, Best Artistic Design, and Best Game Setting at the Pégases Awards 2020....

Splitgate, the Halo-esque shooter with a love of portals, released to beta late last year. The beta hit the ground running, and was so popular that people couldn’t even play it. As folks were trying to dive into the Splitgate craze, its servers buckled, and queue lines were implemented. Long story short, people couldn’t get enough. The developer, 1047 Games, eventually eased the server strain, and gathered $100 million USD in funding to develop the game and fuel its future....
