Sea of Thieves is gearing up for a 2023 that’ll see it celebrating five years of pirate adventure out on the waves, but before all that, it’s hoisting anchor and setting sail with a mid-season update bringing pet rocks, a new limited-time adventure, and more. Starting with that “and more”, a major chunk of Sea of Thieves’ new update - which arrives tomorrow, 19th January - is dedicated to improving the matchmaking system introduced as part of the game’s new on-demand PvP functionality at the end of last year....

Today, as part of an article on Famitsu, Atlus shared sales data about its latest JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V. We learn that the game enjoyed a “good start” by shipping over 800,000 copies. On top of this, we learn that the developer is working on a surprise new game that has not been announced yet. No further hints have been provided, so we’ll have to wait and see. Publisher Kiss Publishing Limited has announced a “Q2 2022” release date for Sociable Soccer 22 on PC and consoles. The game is the spiritual successor to classic football offering Sensible Soccer. Insomniac have made a u-turn on earlier comments that saves from the PS4 version of Spider-Man won’t transfer over to the PlayStation 5 Spider-Man Remastered version following fan feedback. In a tweet posted overnight, the studio confirmed it was working on a patch that it intends to deploy over the Thanksgiving holiday in the States at the end of the month. As an added bonus, Insomniac also confirmed that it will be bringing the three bonus Spidey costumes that it had previously earmarked for the Remastered version of the game to the PS4 version, meaning everyone will get to play with the Arachnid Rider, Armoured Advanced suits and the Amazing Suit based on Andrew Garfield’s version of the webswinger from the 2012 movie The Amazing Spider-Man....

Wizards of the Coast has released some spoilers for the upcoming UnSanctioned set, and it’s all very silly. Magic: The Gathering’s new Un-set, UnSanctioned, was announced last year. Unlike previous Un-sets, which were unofficial, humorous, and more traditional Magic expansions, UnSanctioned is going for more of a theme. There will be five 30-card decks that feature 16 new Un-cards and a bunch of reprinted Un-cards from previous Un-sets. We didn’t know what those 16 new cards would be at the time, but we do know now....

MindJack may not be on many gamer’s radars, but delays have a funny way of changing that. Square Enix and Feelplus have pushed back the release of the third-person shooter, originally slated for an October, 2010 launch. They have opted to bypass the holiday rush and release the game on January 18, 2011. STALKER 2 has been delayed by seven months and is now releasing on December 8. Originally slated for release in April, players will now have to wait sometime before getting their hands on the game.
