Richard Garriott and Portalarium’s online MMORPG Shroud of the Avatar will finally leave Early Access in March. It’s been a long time coming but Portalarium will finally launch the game on 27 March after being successfully Kickstarted way back in 2013 where it raised over 1 million. Since then the funding has continued on the official website. Ahead of the launch, a free trial is available to download from the official website and new improvements have been added to the game including user interface refinements, a more user-friendly tutorial, improvements to the combat system, easier map navigation and the ability to choose to play one of the three Virtue paths in the Free Trial....

Skyrim is a game where, despite the fact that you are the most important legendary hero in the land, you start out at the bottom of every faction you choose to join. However, you don’t stay there for long; nearly every faction lets you work your way up to become the leader of the faction and then… do nothing. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this game, back in the day, having a new Elder Scrolls game appear was like Christmas Day, it was amazing, and now this game seems to be out for every single console in existence, next it’ll be default installed on all kitchen appliances. The amount of memes and jokes that have come out from Skyrim is about as legendary as the game itself, and with the massive amount of mod support the game has, the game honestly will not die....

After great success on the PC and console, developer Mega Crit Games has been hard at work on the mobile port of Slay the Spire, saying that both the iOS and Android versions are now in the QA testing phase with the publisher. All that remains now is for the final approval following the quality check and players will soon be playing on the go. In the course of reviewing CI Games’ Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts, I was drawn to make numerous comparisons to existing games. Of course, there’s Rebellion’s Sniper Elite series, one which made the Ghost Warrior titles feel like its often overlooked and undervalued counterpart. Then, there’s Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which seamlessly merged open-world exploration and tactical action. Contracts probably won’t hold a candle to Phantom Pain, but it manages to be on equal footing with the latest Sniper Elite game....

Yager, the studio known for Spec Ops: The Line, is stepping into the battle royale ring with a game called The Cycle. However, Yager is smartly avoiding direct competition with juggernauts like Fortnite by pursuing its own take on large-scale multiplayer shooters.
