Solar Ash Review Let It Die

It’s easy to assume that Solar Ash is a sequel to Hyper Light Drifter. It’s got the same developer, it’s set in the same universe, and the main character also has an energy sword. But that’s mostly where the similarities end. Instead of focusing on action, the game is all about platforming, exploration, and dashing forward at high speeds. Some HLD fans will no doubt be disappointed by this, and the game could certainly have used a bit more depth and variety....

Solid And Liquid Snake Voice Actors Read A Metal Gear Christmas Poem

Cam Clarke and David Hayter, otherwise known as the voices behind Solid and Liquid Snake, have teamed up to record a festive-themed poem, the Night Before Metal Gear. It’s pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Both voice actors reading a poem, in character as the iconic Twin Snakes. Hayter even wears a Santa hat in the video and Clarke has strapped on some reindeer horns. Lovely stuff.

Rumours are abound that we might be getting a remaster of 2010 Nintendo Wii title Sonic Colours (AKA Sonic Colors depending on your region) later this year following a couple of listings showing up over the weekend. As first reported by Gematsu, German voiceover studio iksample listed a “Sonic Colors Remastered” in its portfolio on its website, which at the time of writing has since gone into maintainence mode. However, this was then later joined by a listing on French retailer Sogamely, who marked the as-yet-unannounced title as releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch at some point in 2021....

Speaking during an interview with Famitsu magazine (via Gematsu), Sony’s Hiroyuki Oda confirmed that the format holder has no plans to launch a successor to the PlayStation Vita. Furthermore, Oda-san revealed that Sony will be ceasing PS Vita production in Japan from next year. South Of The Circle Review I Can T Change What Happened

One thing that irks me in narrative games is when you’re given only the broadest categories when selecting your character’s responses. Think LA Noir, where choosing a certain response could give you far more — or far less — of the emotion you were anticipating. South of the Circle is undoubtedly a fantastically written, absorbing story, but it actually gets the dialogue choices worse. However, it has a striking art style, brimming with memorable moments with events framed in ways that make the game almost akin to digital artwork....

Spanish Version Of First Dates Show Uses Megalovania From Undertale On Its Soundtrack

Undertale is known for its incredible soundtrack, which has apparently caught the attention of a TV producer in Spain who decided to use “Megalovania” in a reality show. First Dates is a reality show that is filmed in a London restaurant, where strangers go on dates for the first time. The format of the show is simple enough that it has been adapted in several different languages, with versions of First Dates being broadcast in seventeen different countries outside of the UK....

Spider Man Far From Home Trailer Breakdown And Analysis

Before we dive in, here’s that trailer again: You have to love how hard these movies lean into the “Aunt May is hot now” thing, which so irritated the internet when Marisa Tomei was first cast. And if Manhattan-swinging Peter isn’t making you nostalgic, this shot feels like an intentional callback to a similar moment in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 where Peter Parker (then Tobey Maguire) considered whether to wear his Spider-Man suit underneath his civvies while going to the theater....

Star Wars Thrawn Alliances Review

While Thrawn Alliances is technically a sequel to 2017’s Thrawn, it also works well as an enjoyable extension of the Star Wars animated canon. That role is particularly fitting now that a seventh season of The Clone Wars has been announced, landing squarely in the middle of Rebels, The Clone Wars, and the rebooted book canon. The sequel moves a lot faster and has a more energetic central dynamic than the first book....

Stateless Review Spoiler Free Classy Australian Immigration Drama With A Stellar Cast

“The title of the series refers to statelessness in a more poetic sense,” explains Cate Blanchett, creator of six part Australian drama Stateless, the latest acquisition for Netflix, which originally aired on ABC, Australia’s national broadcaster. It also, of course, refers to some of the inhabitants of the immigrant detainee center at the heart of the show – many of whom are refugees who can’t be returned to country where they held citizenship (not necessarily stateless then, but as Blanchett also points out, the title is metaphoric rather than strictly legal)....

Rockstar Terrible Parents Buy Our Games For Children

It’s no surprise to anyone who plays video games that Rockstar Games makes products that are filled with a lot of mature content. The Grand Theft Auto series, Manhunt series, and the recently released Red Dead Redemption all embody that point very clearly. Obviously, M-rated games aren’t made for children, yet still parents will often buy them for their children. Rockstar’s own Lazlow, a writer and producer for GTA, has lashed out at parents who buy their games for children, calling them “terrible parents”....

Rockstar May Have Given Up On Red Dead But Modders Haven T

Earlier this month, Rockstar confirmed the end of any major support for Red Dead Online, with the developer shifting its focus to Grand Theft Auto 6. This left many cowboys disappointed (to put it mildly), to the extent an in-game funeral was held to mourn this loss. While Rockstar may be jumping ship and swimming away from its Red Dead franchise, modders are not. In fact, a mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 will let you play as a totally new character of your own creation, give you a new skill tree to fill up and allow you to take on all-new heists....

Runescape Fairy Rings Just Got A Needed Rework

There are few games more historic than RuneScape. British game developer Jagex first debuted its signature MMORPG in 2001. Since then, RuneScape has received over 1,200 updates, one of which being the introduction of Fairy Rings in 2006. Fairy Rings are a convenient method of transportation that provides teleports to various locations across Gielinor. However, they hadn’t received much love over the 15 years since they first appeared. Despite being used every day by many active players, RuneScape‘s Fairy Rings had become neglected and left with an outdated user interface and clumsy menu navigation....
