The Epic Games Store continues to evolve with a steady trickle of new features, capabilities, and games. The more the merrier, right? Well, that philosophy continues to apply to Epic’s store, as it was revealed that Samurai Shodown would arrive sometime in spring 2020. Today, SNK confirmed that Samurai Shodown will come to the Epic Game Store on June 11. It’s hard to believe that we’re now almost 18 months on from Resident Evil Village’s launch, and that Capcom’s initial announcement for DLC, consisting of some white text at E3, is about to materialise in a few day’s time. But here we are, and you can already pick up the PC version at a discount from Fanatical for only £13.56. The Winters’ Expansion is set to roll out across Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PS4, and Steam on 28th October 2022, offering a new story scenario and some shake-ups to the original title, including an optional third-person perspective for the base game....

Sayonara Wild Hearts, the next game from developer Simogo, appears to be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PC as well as its previously announced platform, the Nintendo Switch. Gematsu spotted that Sayonara Wild Hearts has been rated today by the ESRB for Nintendo Switch, and for Mac, PC, and PlayStation 4. Back at The Game Awards in 2018, the game was only set for a Switch launch. Given how eclectically gorgeous it is, it’s quite exciting that it might be dropping onto other platforms on top of that....

Earlier today in a press release from Sega of America, it was announced that the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog will be teaming up with Minneapolis-based food producer, General Mills. The deal will see special-edition lines of fruit snacks and breakfast cereal hitting store shelves just in time for the release of the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie. The cereal appears to have golden-colored rings that are made to look like the rings that you collect in the many Sonic the Hedgehog games....

The Sennheiser GSP 370 aims to offer quality gaming audio, a good microphone, and freedom from cables. It definitely achieves these things, making it well worth the $199.95 Sennheiser is asking for it. Of course, it goes without saying that this a headset for someone who games online a lot. No need to boot up the “Retrace-Your-Step-Alizer”, Solar Opposites is coming back. Hulu has ordered Solar Opposites season 3, according to Variety. Solar Opposites season 2 had already previously been confirmed when Hulu confirmed the series for a two-season, 16 episode order. The first batch of those 16 episodes premiered with the eight-episode season 1 on May 8, 2020. Solar Opposites season 3 will consist of 12 episodes and does yet have a release date announced....

If SEGA’s mascot Sonic the Hedgehog is known for anything, it’s going fast and having a growing cast of anthropomorphic animal friends and foes since his debut. The upcoming movie based on Sonic the Hedgehog may be capitalizing on the opportunity to introduce a new character into that cast, according to information put out by the Paramount Spain Twitter account. Since the Sonic the Hedgehog movie redesign was unveiled in a trailer last November, the film’s marketing machine has been churning nonstop....

Apparently, there’s a Super Smash Bros. tournament for companies, and one of the participants is Sony Interactive Entertainment. Interestingly, Sony is the only participant that has anything to do with gaming, which makes the whole situation even weirder. The other companies participating in the tournament offer a wide range of services, from creating scaffolding materials to a patent office. In fact, the only thing they seem to have in common is the fact that they’re all Japanese....

Sony has revealed plans to open a new development studio in the UK to build games exclusively for its upcoming PS4 VR headset Project Morpheus. Spotted by Eurogamer, North West Studio allegedly falls under the umbrella of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios and is formed in part by former staff from DriveClub developer Evolution Studios. Job ads for the studio state that Sony is looking for talent to “join an ambitious new studio to create original games exclusively for Project Morpheus, PlayStation’s VR platform....

Soul Calibur 6, the latest entry in the long-running fighting game series, has been primarily heralded as a return to form, and part of that is due to the returning cast of characters from prior entries to the series. One of these characters, Cassandra, has now been officially revealed to be making a comeback. Cassandra’s presence in Soul Calibur 6 has been known by dataminers for some time, but she has not been officially announced or available for download....

Today Atlus released another daily trailer of its upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, focusing on one of the demons that will appear in the game. This time around the trailer reveals the return of Ouyamatsumi, a demon that has been part of the series for a long while, including the recent Shin Megami Tensei V. As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope displaying Leo at the top of the fortune ranking and Gemini at the bottom....

Attendees of this weekend’s MCM London Comic Con will be able to go hands-on with multiplayer shooter Splatoon ahead of next week’s launch, Nintendo has announced. The game will be playable at the event alongside Mario Kart 8 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, with exclusive items also available to purchase from Nintendo’s on-site store. Amiibo fans will also get to compete in competitions on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and if you own a 3DS, don’t forget to bring it: Nintendo says there’ll be plenty of opportunities to StreetPass....

Today Square Enix announced its financial results for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2022. Looking at the whole company, both net sales and operating income grew year-on-year. Both revenue and profits established new full-year records. Looking at the Digital Entertainment segment, which includes games, revenue for HD games dropped slightly year-on-year despite launching multiple new titles. On the other hand, the performance of the MMO business grew sharply thanks to the launch of expansions for Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Quest X, on top of a “sharp rise in monthly subscribers” for FFXIV....

The leading lady of Star Wars, Leia Organa Solo has a long and storied history. A Rebel hero in the fight against the Empire, she later organizes and leads the Resistance against the First Order in the Sequel Trilogy. We also learn in The Last Jedi that her Skywalker-inherited powers go beyond being able to communicate with Luke through the Force. Not only can she survive the vacuum of space but other stories imply that she can do much more than that....

With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, both EA and Respawn Entertainment are hoping to deliver a solid Star Wars experience and alleviate the worry from Disney that the exclusivity deal with EA may have been a huge mistake. Respawn has a stellar track record with games and managed to release a top of the class battle royale game in Apex Legends earlier in 2019. All fans want here is a fun and enjoyable Star Wars game that lives up to the film franchise’s impressive legacy....

It’s a legend as old as time – well, not quite, but it will make for some great Star Wars trivia in five years: Laura Dern couldn’t stop saying, “Pew pew pew,” during her action scenes in The Last Jedi. You might remember Admiral Holdo taking up arms against Poe Dameron’s mutineers on the Raddus, Leia’s Resistance flagship.
