Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 will introduce six new fighters to the incredibly successful crossover fighting game, announced director Masahiro Sakurai today. Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses rounds off the first lot of DLC fighters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, tailing after Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, Banjo and Kazooie, Hero from Dragon Quest, and Joker from Persona 5. The core game features over 80 playable characters, and we knew that we’d even more DLC fighters in a second Pass, but Sakurai revealed that there will be six battlers in the next expansion....

Japanese studio PlatinumGames has announced it’ll be hosting a ‘Very Sorry’ stream tonight on upcoming shoot-em-up, Sol Cresta. The interestingly-named stream was announced on the developer’s official blog. While it’s keeping the contents vague, the description claims there’ll be information about the game during the broadcast. “Everyone interested in Sol Cresta and looking forward to its release should be sure to tune in.” While it’d be easy from the title to assume it may be some kind of delay announcement, the Sol Cresta Very Sorry stream is scheduled for a full hour....

Today Atlus has released another of its daily trailers of Soul Hackers 2, focusing on the demons that you can befriend in the game. Specifically, we get to see a Sabbath, a special post-turn attack activated when the conditions are fulfilled that lets you unleash your whole team of demons on the enemy. Like all daily trailers, we get a horoscope, but those with Sabbaths have a “almost everyone is lucky” setup....

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered released three days ago on PC, and modders have been hard at work over the weekend. There are already several mods which reshade the game, like this one from BadRusMan that emulates a more cinematic style, or overhaul the visuals, like this noir mod by ManWithAPlan. There’s also a mod which disables the HUD and enemy outlines, by Mixerced, if you want to remove the interface whilst you play....

Sam is surgically removing each and every bad guy while they run around so afraid that if they somehow manage to luckily make it out alive (and by luckily I mean Sam lets them go) then they just might go patch things up with their god(s)....

Respawn Entertainment has held its cards fairly close to its chest when it comes to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game is one of the last-standing IPs in development under EA in the Star Wars franchise. Respawn recently revealed some of the cast and storyline surrounding the mysterious title at the annual Star Wars Celebration. And, by the looks of it, more will be coming from the camp this Saturday, June 8....

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releases tomorrow, making today the final day players have to pre-order it. The pre-order bonuses for this game will include a cosmetic skin for BD-1, an orange lightsaber blade color, and two cosmetic lightsaber customization sets. The game will release for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, but so far, the Xbox is the only platform offering a pre-order discount. So, for any players who haven’t already decided what console they’ll be playing it on, this might be a deciding incentive....

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will skip the trial period typically offered to EA Access subscribers for the publisher’s latest games, according to a Twitter post from the publisher Monday. Set in the aftermath of the films’ prequel trilogy, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order puts players in the boots of Cal Kestis, a Padawan on the run from the evil Empire, in the darkest hour of the Jedi Order. The action game blends the pulse-pounding lightsaber duels of the Star Wars movies with settings and a new narrative all its own, and to keep the surprises of the plot intact for players, EA will not offer a pre-launch trial period for subscribers to EA Access, citing the risk of spoiler leaks....

Steep will be free to download and play from Friday until Monday on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Ubisoft has announced. Thanks to a deal between Warner Bros. Interactive and GOG.com, 2007’s action shooter Stranglehold has returned to PC. Co-created by legendary Hong Kong director John Woo, Stranglehold serves as a sequel to his classic 1992 cop film Hard Boiled. Starring Chow Yun-Fat (who reprises his role in-game), the film and game are known for featuring some ridiculous action set-pieces and a disregard for physics. As for why Stranglehold disappeared in the first place, it’s likely the same reason any digital title does: expiration of copyright....
