Whenever a highly anticipated video game is about to release, people are always desperate to find out as much information about the game as possible. Whether it’s through certain connections or any other method(s), some players manage to get an early copy and start leaking details. However, in most situations, such actions go unpunished (aside from getting shut down and having the leaked videos removed). This time though, a publisher decided to crack down on an individual who managed to get an early copy of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding and boot up the game before its official release date....

Olmec was the main boss of the first Spelunky game. However in Spelunky 2, he’s tucked away in a cave as a side boss. I guess the giant head wasn’t too happy being tossed aside, because it does everything it can to piss you off and waste your time. Well, it did. The latest Spelunky 2 patch addresses many of the issues players had with Olmec. It also implements some quality-of-life updates....

Actor Mick Ignis is about as charismatic as they come, yet most of his time onscreen comes inside all variations of demonic creatures. Ignis, 29, is a former animator turned master of inhabiting dark characters. He’s appeared as four separate demons in IFC’s horror-comedy Stan Against Evil, a show that undoubtedly has a deep affection for not only homages to classic monsters, but also exciting new eerie creations. “As a huge nerd for this kind of stuff, this is like a dream show,” Ignis says of working on Stan Against Evil....

Stardew Valley allows players to indulge in real-life activities. In doing so it allows the game to break the virtual barrier and become more intuitive. As farming is the main aim of the game you can count on the game making use of your farmed products. Thus, cooking also forms an important part of the game and is an interesting activity to indulge in. Learning new recipes and making them is a ton of fun....

Bethesda has finally gave us a real look at its hotly anticipated space-faring RPG Starfield today. Well, let’s be honest, it was the Washington Post, which apparently leaked the trailer ahead of the Microsoft and Bethesda showcase. While the trailer shown during thedidn’t include much gameplay, we did learn some major information. Starfield already has a release date, and its set for November 11, 2022 — launching day one exclusively for PC and Xbox Game Pass....

The recent UFC 246 event in Paradise, Nevada was one of the most hotly anticipated events in recent memory, headlined by Conor McGregor and “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone. As is typical with pay-per-view sporting events, illegal streams of UFC 246 were all over the Internet, though one person who was streaming the big fight, SkarrsWorld, had an embarrassing text message pop up during the stream. While streaming the UFC 246 pay-per-view event, a text message popped up on the stream that read: “Denzel pressed charges on you so if you come around you’re getting […] until court day....

A staple in not only the realm of fighting games, but in all of gaming, Street Fighter has crossed over from being just a niche arcade quarter-eater that kids would hit up after school, to becoming a mainstream part of our daily pop culture world. It’s even crossed over to actual combat sports and sports entertainment as we’ve seen MMA fighters throw Hadouken motions mid-fight and WWE wrestlers use it as an actual (scripted) move in the ring....

Street Fighter 5 newcomer Laura has been leaked ahead of schedule by Japanese publication Famitsu. Laura is believed to be Brazilian – given she’s pictured in the Brazilian stage – and shares countryman Blanka’s love of electricity. Interestingly Blanka is still to be confirmed for Street Fighter 5. Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono took to Twitter to express his disappointment in the leak. Today Capcom had two relevant announcements to make for those who love fighting games, starting with Street Fighter 6. The announcement, which was teased with a countdown website last week, comes with very little information besides a teaser trailer which you can see below, and the fact that the game is in development. We also hear that we’ll have to wait for summer 2022 to hear more. Yet, those who don’t want to wait that long may still have something to sink their teeth in....

Rumors have cropped up that players should hear some unexpected news about a PlayStation exclusive soon. These rumors don’t elaborate on which game this may be, or what the news is, but PlayStation may make an announcement soon. With news on the PlayStation 5 coming out at a steady pace, there is a good possibility that this PlayStation exclusive announcement may be a title in development, or moving development, to the new console....

Following my hands off preview of the Saints Row reboot, I sat down and chatted more with Volition developers Kenzie Lindgren (associate UX designer) and Damien Allen (principal designer). Scrubs actor Donald Faison has confirmed that the Default dance emote was lifted pretty much wholesale from Turk’s Poison dance. There was a Scrubs cast reunion at the Vulture Festival, in L.A., during which Faison was asked to perform the dance. He declined, saying, ‘If you want to see it, you can play Fortnite, because they jacked that shit.’ Bill Lawrence, who created the show, did then follow up Faison’s comments, explaining that he had been asked by developer Epic, and that he had agreed to its use....

Devolver Digital and developer Flying Wild Hog were kind enough to drop a new gameplay trailer for Shadow Warrior 3 today. The footage shows off 17 minutes of sword-slicing, blood-spewing action in an ancient, Chinese-style setting, built alongside cliffs. “Way to Motoko” focuses on a small chapter in the story and shows off some enemies, as well as how to defeat them. The trailer opens with a short cutscene of protagonist Lo Wang and his sidekick Orochi Zilla traveling along a road high in the mountains....

You’ll start out on a beachhead with only a handful of guards, and your main goal is to reach the gargantuan fortress in the middle of an island. It seems like there’s a new game-breaking bug found every couple of weeks or so in Overwatch 2, and the newest bug is all about Sombra and her teleport ability. Anyone with a teleport has experienced a moment where they can teleport into “unintended locations,” and now, Sombra can unintentionally (or intentionally, let’s be honest) glitch straight into the payload in Overwatch 2 using her Translocator. This bug was demonstrated by the Reddit user u/Matty221998, who posted a clip of this exploit happening in one of their games....

Why is there not a Jack Reacher game? It has been firmly established that the top-heavy, world-weary hero of Lee Child’s bone-crunching bestsellers (26 novels and counting) would be the perfect video game avatar. As an ex-military policeman, Reacher combines razor-sharp investigative savvy and comprehensive weapons training with the sort of down-and-dirty brawling skills required to break up bar fights among demob-happy jarheads in far-flung postings. Reacher has very little baggage - either emotional or actual, preferring to criss-cross the USA with little more than a travel toothbrush - yet trouble seems to follow him around....

Sega has released a gloriously 90s-flavoured Sonic Mania Plus infomercial to celebrate the game’s launch on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One today. Featuring old-school TVs and a stereotypically sleazy salesman, the ad sees a punter given the choice of two games: Sonic Mania Plus, and a generic, unnamed FPS. He ends up buying Sonic Mania Plus, obviously, because that would just be daft otherwise. Anyway, it’s pretty good fun, and has no qualms about taking the piss out of modern shooters and loot boxes....

It’s still nearly two and a half years away, but the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie now has a firm release date. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles will return to a big screen near you on 20th December 2024. Fun fact for film fans - that’s the same day as Avatar 3, the sequel to the upcoming Avatar sequel that’s not even out yet. Sonic’s movie threequel will see the series’ trio “running faster, flying higher, and punching harder,” the official Sonic the Hedgehog movie Twitter account promised....

Sony calls the PlayStation Network one of the world’s “leading” network services and gets mocked by gamers online. Sony’s PSN does have millions of users, but not everyone agrees that the service has the right to to call itself a leading network service as it has so many other problems. In Sony’s Corporate Report 2019, the company says that it saw huge growth of PSN in the financial year that ended on March 31, 2019 and that it is now “one of the worldʼs leading network services....
