Santa 47 returns to Hitman 3 in the game’s new Christmas-themed update. This will be the final update for the excellent Hitman 3, and it will extend into January 2022. Announced by IO Interactive on November 30, this new update acts as a part of their winter roadmap for the game. Players can expect to find a new mode, targets, and a jolly look for Agent 47. This is in keeping with the tradition of the last two Hitman games, which also received a Christmas-themed mode as a part of their winter update....

As the coronavirus continues its spread in South Korea, fears for the epidemic have prompted safety precautions in nearly every area of life, including the eSports and gaming niches. Due to growing concerns, multiple Overwatch League teams have sent their groups to the United States in an attempt to prevent the spread of the virus. One such team, the Seoul Dynasty, who had sent their team to homestead in Seoul, was sent back to the US this past week after the event was canceled due to coronavirus concerns....

Capcom has released some footage of upcoming DLC characters Black Panther and Sigma in action in a short, new gameplay trailer. Black Panther from the Marvel universe, and Mega Man X’s adversary Sigma, will be released on October 17. If you already have the game’s Character Pass, you’ll get the two new fighters, as well as Monster Hunter, and a few additional costumes for the trio, too. That leaves Winter Soldier, Black Widow and Venom to come to the game....

A listing for a remastered version of Skyrim has appeared on UK retailer Base.com. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Definitive Edition will release on PS4 and Xbox One on November 23, 2016, the retailer says, although further details are not provided. The leak follows a rumour yesterday claiming that a remastered version of Skyrim is set to be announced at Bethesda’s E3 press conference next Monday morning. As well as featuring improved visuals, the remaster is also rumoured to feature mod support, as introduced to console with Fallout 4....

Sons of the Forest, the anticipated sequel to 2014’s The Forest has been delayed. The title’s developer, Endnight Games, announced that their original May 2022 date was “overly ambitious.” Now, the developer says that the game will release in October 2022. The announcement doesn’t share much more information beyond that and a small set of clips from the upcoming game. It’s bound to be disappointing news for those who have been eagerly awaiting the game, and it stings even more since this isn’t the first time the game has been delayed....

Regardless of whether you own a PS4 or Xbox One, 2015 is shaping up to be a pretty amazing year for games. Both Sony and Microsoft, however, claim that their console has the best exclusives – and they can’t both be right, can they? According to Microsoft, Xbox One will be “the only place” players will get to experience Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider this year, highlighting the console as being the home to “the best exclusives and biggest blockbusters”....

If you’re looking for yet another brand new 2D Metroid-like, then Souldiers might be right up your alley. From exploring dangerous spaces while fighting monstrous foes to collecting new abilities in order to find the way forward, the game appears to tick those boxes and more. I got to take an early look at the game, which launches next month. I’m impressed by a lot of it, even if the Dark Souls-esque boss battles definitely weren’t something that left me particularly enthusiastic....

The quirky title puts you in control of an individual who is absolutely not a robot looking to dominate humanity and is in fact just a regular person learning to navigate social situations. Nintendo has revealed the newest map for Splatoon 2. It’s called Skipper Pavilion, and it is set in and around an old temple. As you can see from the picture above, it looks like a mazy map indeed, with winding walkways and boxy spaces looking to provide plenty of cubby holes to coat with paint. According to Nintendo’s tweet announcing the new map, ‘Some Inklings believe that visiting this mystical place can help win Turf Wars....

Calm down and put your money away, because Square Enix is not for sale. The studio released a statement today denying any negotiations with so-called interested buyers. Square Enix’s statement comes in response to a Bloomberg Japan report earlier this morning, which claimed that the video game company received multiple offers. Square Enix disputed the claim with a quick public statement. “Bloomberg has reported today that there is interest from several buyers to acquire Square Enix....

Square Enix has partnered with NFT ecosystem Enjin to release Final Fantasy NFTs. A digital collection of cards celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7 will be released on the cross-chain network Efinity and available to those who purchase items from the physical collection, expected to launch in 2023. An action figure is available to pre-order now; the deluxe version of which will include a code to redeem an NFT version of the figurine....

EA and DICE have released a new trailer for imminent Star Wars Battlefront DLC, Bespin. Available to Season Pass holders on June 21, Bespin includes exclusive playable characters Lando and Dengar, new maps set on Bespin, weapons like the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4, a new Cloud Car vehicle and an all new game mode called Sabotage. In addition to the trailer above, DICE will be hosting a Bespin live stream today at 6pm BST....

This Star Wars Resistance review contains spoilers. Star Wars Resistance Season Episode 12 Well, you can’t really go wrong with utilizing a two-parter (or, multi-parter, as I’m not sure how long they’ll be stretching out this story) to shake things up a bit. As it stands, “The Missing Agent,” isn’t really much of a game-changer, or even that strong of a story to be honest. There’s the usual padding and stalling, but it isn’t particularly egregious for Star Wars Resistance....

Today Square Enix released two new commercials for the upcoming action game Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Street Fighter 4 is now available for the iPhone. Capcom’s flagship fighting series arrives packing a startling amount of content, great graphics, and surprisingly responsive controls. Eight characters make their way to the small screen: Abel, Blanka, Chun-Li, Ryu, M. Bison, Dhalsim, Guile, and Ken. Each fighter carries his or her signature moveset over from the console versions of Street Fighter 4. Granted, there are concessions in the control department. Chiefly, Punch and Kick have been relegated to a single button each....
