Square Enix has warned of an attempted hack of the account management system used in Final Fantasy 14. A post on the Lodestone blog advises on precautions for guarding against unauthorised account access, including resetting your Square Enix password. “We are currently experiencing an attack by a third party that is attempting to gain access to the Square Enix Account Management System by using a combination of email addresses and passwords that appear to have been obtained from other online services of other companies,” reads the post....

Google has reportedly “deprioritised” its consumer-facing game streaming platform Stadia and now has a “reduced interest” in negotiating blockbuster titles for the service, having largely shifted its focus to selling the services’ underlying technology to third-parties. Stadia’s misfortunes are well-documented; despite initial praise for the service’s streaming capabilities at launch in 2019, a slow, problematic roll-out meant Google failed to capitalise on initial consumer interest. Offworld Industries, the developer behind the 2020 tactical FPS Squad, has just revealed a new game that may please fans of ’90s cinema. SteamWorld Dig 2 is making its way to PC and PlayStation 4, as well as the previously announced Nintendo Switch, developer Image & Form announced on its website.
