A few simple button taps is enough to have your character performing all sorts of moves, determined dynamically by the A.I. based on character position and situation. The option is in addition to Modern Controls and Classic Controls, the former of which simplifies the number of buttons required to play the game....

It took about a year, but Rockstar Games has finally announced when Red Dead Redemption 2 will be headed to PC. Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse, the third and regrettably final season of Telltale Games’ episodic point-and-click adventure series, will be getting the remaster treatment in 2023 courtesy of developer Skunkape Games. Sony has revealed the first PlayStation 4 Pro footage of the Shadow of the Colossus remake, which is due for release in 2018. Another day, another Ubisoft release date leak. This time, it’s details of Skull and Bones’ long-awaited launch which have surfaced. Details dug up from an Xbox store listing point to Skull and Bones having the usual array of pre-order bonuses, as well as premium items for an edition including a soundtrack and artbook. A release date - 8th November 2022 - was also spied, thanks to regular store watcher Aggiornamenti Lumia, and subsequently verified by serial leaker Tom Henderson....

UK studio Rebellion has announced a new entry in its long-running shooter series, with Sniper Elite 5 set for launch in 2022. This time around elite marksman Karl Fairburne will be travelling to France in 1944. As part of a covert US Rangers operation, he makes contact with the French Resistance. Together, they uncover a Nazi plot that could end the war before the Allies even storm the beaches of Normandy....

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is out today on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Developer CI Games has mentioned multiplayer maps in the past, but only today have they addressed it properly. “CI Games, throughout our development of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, we have had two focus [sic], The first is to provide the best possible single player experience in our most ambitious game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series to date....

Renowned actor John Cygan passed away on May 13 in his California home after a battle with cancer. In Cygan’s early career he played Paulie Pantangeli in ABC cop show The Commish from 1991 to 1996, alongside The Shield’s Michael Chiklis. He also portrayed Sheriff Spencer in The X-Files’ first run. Later in life, Cygan turned his talents to voice acting and has appeared in some massive animated movies such as WALL-E, Toy Story 3, and Up....

Sonic has quite a history and while it has featured some incredible highs it also includes some disasters. Some may remember Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1993 and the accident that occurred with a giant inflatable Sonic. For those who do not, high winds took a giant inflatable Sonic of course and into a lamp post which resulted in two injured people. The footage of this accident had never surfaced until now, over 25 years after the accident....

Sonic the Hedgehog is doing really well at the box office right now, but maybe the main reason for that is because it isn’t really a Sonic movie at all. Sonic the Hedgehog enjoyed a better opening weekend than anyone could have imagined. $57 million in ticket sales at the US box office is better than any other video game-themed movie has managed on its opening weekend. A far cry from the backlash Paramount and Sega received in 2019 for the ill-thought-out original design of the blue hedgehog....

Today Atlus released another of its daily trailers of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2. This time around the focus returns on demons, showing three of them, Jack Frost, Dormarth (that previously had their own trailers), and Vritra, which hasn’t appeared in the franchise for a while. We also get the usual horoscope, but the format has changed, showing only the three lucky signs for the day, Virgo, Taurus, and Gemini....

Spider-Man: Miles Morales has had more gameplay footage released overnight, this time revealing that Miles will get to meet the incredibly adorable Spider-Cat. Revealed as part of US publication Game Informer’s ongoing exclusive coverage, the cat features as part of a mission you’ll be undertaking during your adventures in New York City, and the best part is once he’s rescued you’ll be able to unlock a specific bonus costume that allows you to carry the adorable feline around via backpack....

A rip off of Nintendo’s Splatoon has been released on mobile devices in China, as spotted by Twitter’s ZhugeEX, who also happens to be an analyst. The game appears to be a complete copy of Nintendo’s Wii U hit, even using the same art, music and level designs. This new Chinese Mobile game looks really familiar. Star Wars Battlefront’s January update will not feature a new map after all, lead lighting artist Oscar Carlen has confirmed. It was reported yesterday that the upcoming update would include a free map set on Tatooine after a video from EA Brazil appeared to confirm as much. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game director Stig Asmussen has revealed that the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure has no stealth elements. Speaking with IGN during the Star Wars Celebration over the weekend, Asmussen, who worked on the God of War series, revealed that Jedi: Fallen Order doesn’t really fit the stealth profile, although he did say there’s options in regards to how you approach combat in the game. This might come as a surprise to some, seeing as how you are playing as a Jedi on the run and must remain hidden from the Empire....
