Saints Row Developer Promises Beast Of An Update To Squash Hundreds Of Bugs

Remember Saints Row? The wacky open world reboot launched at the end of August to a lukewarm response. This month, developer Volition has a big patch ready to address hundreds of issues. This is the game’s first major update which Volition previously said would be used to prioritise fixes and improvements over new content. Last month, the studio said it had chosen to spend time bringing the existing game up to scratch - even though it would have “preferred to be talking about roadmaps and expansions”....

Sheepo Review Eggcelent Pacifist Metroid Like Pc Invasion

Sometimes less is more. Sure, it’s plenty of fun to farm enemies for rare drops and hit walls while hoping for secrets, but there’s a lot to love about a game that has no issue with cutting all the fat. Sheepo only takes a few hours to complete, but its difficulty is so finely-balanced and its pacing is so tight and focused that I wouldn’t want it longer. I even liked the complete absence of combat....

Ship Graveyard Simulator Prologue Available For Free On Steam Tomorrow

People have long considered shipbreaking jobs as among the most dangerous in the entire world. Workers constantly have to deal with risks involving harmful chemicals, unsafe equipment, and other safety hazards. Additionally, many workers do not receive the proper training that would ensure maximum safety, and wages often remain dangerously low. Understandably, most people would not want to get a shipbreaking job if they had the option not to. On the other hand, a virtual shipbreaking job, which would allow people to partake in the activity without any of the risks normally associated with it, may come off as appealing to some....

Six Temples Preview Still Praying For An Audience

When last we looked at Six Temples, it was in rough shape. While the concept was strong – a class-based multiplayer objective battle with third-person combat – it was still in the early stages in terms of its graphics and gameplay. Playing a match was also very difficult due to sparsely populated maps that felt like literal ghost towns. It’s been a few months now and we’ve decided to revisit this game to see how it’s coming along....

One of the reasons why you should choose an Xbox One over its competition is that the system has backwards compatibility with lots of amazing games on the Xbox 360. It seems that Sony is preparing to catch up with Microsoft in the next console generation and will be adding backward compatibility to the PlayStation 5, as a new patent that has been filed by Sony of Japan hints that their next system will be compatible with PlayStation 4 games....

An Insomniac programmer finally gave up and revealed a Spider-Man easter egg so subtle that no one noticed it. Marvel’s Spider-Man was one of the best games of 2018. Starship Troopers Terran Command Instructs You To Kill All The Bugs

I’ll argue all day that Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 film Starship Troopers is a masterpiece. Yes, it’s a cheesy mess. But in true Verhoeven fashion, underneath its ridiculous, campy exterior is a still-relevant critique on tribalism and authoritarianism. And for the first time in 14 years, we’ll be getting a game: Starship Troopers – Terran Command, from developer The Artistocrats and publisher Slitherine. I doubt that it will convey the same underlying tones of the movie, but hey, we are going to get to kill some bugs....

Steam May Use A Loyalty System That Rewards Users With Discounts In The Future

Steam may let users earn discounts for future game purchases with a loyalty system, according to one of the developers of SteamDB (via IGN). Valve has not announced a loyalty system for Steam, so we must take this information with a pinch of salt. Yet, it would be an interesting move to attract and maintain interest and attachment to Steam over its competitors. Exclusivity agreements with Epic Games are affecting the rival distribution platform, but not by a lot....

Steven Spielberg S War Of The Worlds Is His Most Underappreciated Movie

In 2005, Steven Spielberg released his remake/adaptation of War of the Worlds. The filmstarred Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Justin Chatwin, Tim Robbins, an underutilized Miranda Otto, and plenty of nightmare-inducing alien war machines. It also had a script that was co-written by Josh Friedman (showrunner of the also underrated The Sarah Connor Chronicles), an understated soundtrack from John Williams, and some of the best, scariest “action” sequences in modern cinematic history....
