Sabrent is a well-known memory manufacturer that’s now pushing into the gaming space with a PCIe 4.0 SSD that’s optimized for Microsoft’s new DirectStorage API. The new Rocket Plus G SSD will contain brand new firmware that’s “optimized for DirectStorage workloads.” PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs are already popular due to the incredibly fast read/write speeds versus traditional HDDs and SATA SSDs. What’s interesting is that Sabrent intends to take things to the next level by directly tapping into the DirectStorage capabilities of Windows 11....

Sackboy: A Big Adventure hasn’t had a big start on Steam. Originally released on PlayStation consoles in November 2020 (launch window for PS5), the game arrived on PC via Steam last week on 27th October. The rather good-looking Sairento VR will be finally coming out of Early Access in January 2018. The major addition to the game will the story campaign which will add a much-needed narrative to the title. Developer Mixed Realms says this is campaign addition is just the start of “much bigger plans” in the future. The launch will also include a gameplay recording feature where players can see yourself play in third-person and it’s accessed via the record button on the wrist menu....

Believe it or not, over a month has passed since Six Days in Fallujah mysteriously resurfaced. February’s reveal did show glimpses of in-engine gameplay footage, but not an extended look from the player’s perspective. Now though, IGN has revealed a more thorough look at Six Days in Fallujah gameplay. One of the most interesting aspects shown here, is the fact that level design is procedurally generated. This means that although the game is based in the single city of Fallujah, layouts, map routes, and enemy placements will differ each time you play....

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim houses a large world for players to explore at their leisure. From sprawling forests in The Rift to the more snowy regions of The Pale, there is enough variety to keep players engaged for dozens of playthroughs. Each region of Skyrim contains a capital hold that watches over that region’s laws. The Pale houses a remote capital city called Dawnstar. This hold may be small compared to the likes of Whiterun, but what it lacks in scope it makes up for in detail....

Another year, another release of Skyrim. The Skyrim Anniversary Edition was released on 11th November 2021 to mark the game’s 10th anniversary, as well as a free next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A small art streamer who goes by the name of “Jongrim” on Twitch has been banned following his live-drawing of Alinity with her dog, Luna. It references a recent controversial clip of Alinity attempting a headstand on stream and is paired with Luna’s uncomfortable interference with the pose. The drawing is intentionally provocative with Jongrim playing up the inappropriate nature of the contact between the two. Jongrim announced his 7-day ban from Twitch via his Twitter account, gaining a large amount of traction once the post went viral on the “Livestream Fail” subreddit....

Whether you prefer to call it football or soccer, this is a popular sport that usually makes for fun gameplay out there on the pitch. Yet, despite the initial promise and the timing, Soccer Story leaves much to be desired even for an experience that is relatively short....

The footy fun continues in Sociable Soccer and the Early Access version has just received a major update. Last month Peter took a look at the game and although it shows promise there were issues that really needed to be addressed such goalkeepers, sliding tackles and the AI. Sony: “From award-winning epics to family-friendly favorites, PlayStation Hits offers an awesome lineup of games for $19.99 USD (MSRP) each on PlayStation Store and select retailers across the U.S.” To tell the difference between a ‘Hits’ title and its original release, PlayStation says Hits will have red packaging, and on the PS store, players will see red banners so it’s simple to see which games are included under the Hits label....

Sony has updated the store page for Horizon Forbidden West on the PlayStation Store after reports on unclear pricing surfaced last week in a number of publications.
