Federations is the latest expansion DLC for Stellaris, Paradox Interactive’s grand strategy game set in the stars. It aims to improve diplomatic actions with other spacefaring races by adding new features such as the Galactic Community and the improved federations system. There’s also the Origins system that provides a backstory (and maybe even some unique tasks) for your faction. Patch 2.6 (“Verne”) is also a free update for all Stellaris owners....

Street Fighter 5 producer Yoshinori Ono has told Game Informer that neither he nor Capcom anticipated the demand for single-player content in the troubled fighting game. “I think it’s safe to say that we underestimated the popularity of some of the single-player features,” Ono said. “That said, we are excited about the two all-new single-player modes – character story and survival – and we have plans to continue to refine and expand onto those experiences....

This review of See is spoiler-free and is based on the first three episodes. See has all the makings of a sprawling sci-fi epic: a post-apocalypse culture with warring factions, a strong tribal leader in Jason Momoa’s bear-like Baba Voss, and a brilliant premise of a totally blind culture that leaves shows about zombies and nuclear holocausts in the derivative dust. It even has the passage of almost two decades in the first two episodes, giving the saga an uncharacteristic depth almost immediately without indulging in exposition or rushing things in any way....

I went into Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with caution. I’d played previous FromSoftware games, so I felt confident that, while I’d definitely die a lot, the game wouldn’t really be any harder than its predecessors. This one was a stealth game to boot, so it’d probably feel completely different, and it certainly wouldn’t almost break me. How horribly naive I was. Sekiro is simultaneously very similar to previous FromSoft games and very different at the same time....

If there’s one thing to be said about Shadow of the Colossus, it’s how visually striking it looked back in 2005 for what the PS2 was capable of at the time. Now for the PlayStation 4 remake in 2018, Bluepoint Games hopes to recapture that sense of awe on the modern tech with its version, meaning we can look forward to more visual treats when we get our hands on it in February....

Shadow of the Colossus was revealed to be coming to PlayStation 4 during Sony’s E3 media briefing, and now it’s been confirmed that it’s a remake rather than a remaster. Speaking to Famitsu (via Siliconera) Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said ‘The game content is the same as the original version, but all the assets are being remade. While Yoshida has made it clear that ‘it is a remake,’ developer Bluepoint Games isn’t changing anything from the original, except for the controls....

Akira Yamaoka will be performing live music from horror franchise Silent Hill at various venues across the UK this Halloween, it’s been revealed. Silent Hill Live gets underway at Bristol on October 29, and promises to feature live performances of music from the series by the legendary composer and his band. Focus Home and Saber Interactive have fully unveiled Season 1 of SnowRunner‘s post-launch plan. The first major update for the game brings a new area to truck in and missions to complete within the new map. Players with the Season Pass can now travel to Lake Kovd, SnowRunner‘s first map in the icy Russian Kola Peninsula Region, which is 4 km squared. According to the developers, ice in this region can be that thin that it cracks under the pressure of extreme off-roading....

I was watching a popular Dark Souls speedrunner over the weekend, and during the stream he stopped to try something interesting. It was only a moment, but I turned away and when I got back he was blasting an undead soldier with what clearly looked like a Halo plasma pistol. Yes, someone has created a mod that adds Halo weapons to Dark Souls. And somehow, it worked. I nearly forgot about it until I saw news of it floating around....
