Card-battling, deck-building RPG SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech has received a launch date on PC of May 31 after only a few weeks as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. This is sure to be a successful and well-selling game on Steam, as the game is the fourth in the SteamWorld series by developer Image & Form and has received outstanding reviews for this latest release. Curiously, and speaking to the skill of the developers, the four games are quite distinct from one another in genre, except for the first two....

Prior to the release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, there was a lot of hubbub surrounding the sort of game it would be. FromSoftware claimed that it would feel very different from their Souls games, so now that the dust has fallen, I’m going to break down their similarities and differences for anyone who hasn’t been repeatedly murdered by their new game yet. Silicon Valley Season 6 is definitely happening on HBO! Unfortunately it will be the show’s final season. Variety reports that HBO has announced that Silicon Valley Season 6 will be the final go-around for Pied Piper. This makes sense as the story has largely run its course and showrunner Alec Berg is moonlighting on Barry. Still, we’ll be sad to see Richard and Co. go. This can’t be unrelated. Sony Online Entertainment has announced they are closing down four of their MMOs; Free Realms, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and Wizardry Online. In a Reddit AMA,they then confirmed that they intend to bring Everquest Next to the Playstation 4. They revealed on the same AMA that Planetside 2 will have to wait a little longer than early 2014 to be released. Overall, it appears that Sony is cashing in their PC gaming chips to direct efforts towards its 8th generation console....
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has a new trailer with loads of details that eagle-eyed Sonic fans should take notice of. The trailer comes just ahead of the Super Bowl and manages to cram quite a bit of information in just over 40 seconds. And just like the trailer that was shown off at The Game Awards, there’s a lot to talk about. Judging from the trailer, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 looks to be taking a lot more from the games than the first film did....
It’s weird to think about where Sonic the Hedgehog was less than a year ago, back when people were still upset over the original design for the cartoon speedster. One couldn’t be blamed for thinking that the movie was doomed to fail spectacularly due to the colossal backlash, yet here it is, going in the exact opposite direction to become a major hit with critics and audiences alike, and reaching impressive milestones in the process....
Sony is celebrating PlayStation Plus’ five-year anniversary by offering a “limited edition gift” to the service’s most loyal fans.
