SEGA of America will not have its own booth at next month’s E3, the publisher has confirmed to Game Informer. Instead, it will be “collaborating” with some of its business partners to help exhibit games at the show, suggesting that upcoming games like Total War: Warhammer may be shown off at booths hosted by other attendees. “With the majority of our bigger titles launching later in 2015/2016, particularly those from our AAA studios Relic Entertainment, Sports Interactive and Creative Assembly, we are concentrating our efforts for some of these major announcements after our relocation,” the publisher told the site....

Dungeons & Dragons is returning to the realm of video games in a big way, as the president of Wizards of the Coast has said that there will be seven or eight games based on the tabletop RPG released in the near future. There was a time in the late ’90s and early ’00s when the Dungeons & Dragons license was used for some incredible video games, including the Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights series, as well as Planescape Torment....

Developer Vblank has unleashed the “Full Tank” update for its pixel art, open-world, crime-em-up Shakedown Hawaii. While part of this update is the usual range of fixes that we see all the time for such titles, another part is sure to pique many gamers’ interest. Skybound Games expects to have The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 out before the end of the year. When Telltale shut their doors last month, we thought that was it for their highly successful and critically acclaimed game-version of The Walking Dead. What’s worse, since the studio closed just after the second episode dropped, and that episode ended in a terrible cliffhanger, it seemed that fans would never know what would become of their stalwart heroes....

Legendary League of Legends player Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi has officially left Cloud9’s competitive roster, the 25-year-old announced on Twitter yesterday. The AD carry has been a member of Cloud9’s professional League of Legends team since the organization’s inception in 2013. He was benched from their active lineup after the 2019 World Championship, and has now decided to step away from the professional scene in favor of full-time streaming. Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi has been active in professional League of Legends since 2012....

Paragon, the free-to-play action MOBA by Epic Games, went the way of the dinosaur back in 2018. In an unprecedented move, however, Epic released roughly $17 million USD worth of assets to the world for free, allowing developers to use the content however they wished. Some attempted to create a spiritual successor to the game, but work on such projects seemed to fizzle out over the years and at least one game is meeting a similar fate....

The preparations for the upcoming exclusive war are heating up, as Sony has acquired Insomniac Games, which is the development studio behind games such as Ratchet & Clank, Sunset Overdrive, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. Insomniac Games has been one of the staunchest supporters of the PlayStation platform, as it started out as the studio behind the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy. The company would go on to make the Ratchet & Clank and Resistance series, which have always been PlayStation exclusives....

Sony’s reveal of the official PS5 logo has broken a record on social media app Instagram. The post with the logo reveal got thousands of comments from fans and has 2 million more likes on Instagram than Microsoft’s post about the Xbox Series X design. A report by Video Games Chronicle says that Sony’s reveal of the PS5 logo is now the most liked gaming Instagram post in history. The post, which now has 5 million likes and 139,000 comments, has far more likes than the Fortnite Avengers teaser which had 2....

Today Atlus released another of its daily videos of the upcoming JRPG Soul Hackers 2, showing another demon included in the game. The video shows Nue, which is historically a common appearance within the franchise and was also included in the latest game, Shin Megami Tensei V. As usual, the trailer also includes the daily horoscope with a ranking of signs from the luckiest to the unluckiest. Taurus is at the top, while Aquarius is at the bottom of the fortune ranking....

In the latest reveal post on Reddit, the Design Director of Spellbreak gives fans a look at a few changes being made to consumables, as well as a collection of new consumables coming to the battle royale when the Prologue update drops. Most of the consumables in the game will still restore health or armor. However, Proletariat is experimenting with a gameplay potion that could result in some insanely powerful magic being thrown around....

Nintendo has revealed the release date for the three Splatoon 3 amiibo that were announced before the game launched. The Inkling (Yellow), Octoling (Blue), and Small Fry amiibo will be released next month on November 11. Using the amiibo by tapping them on a Switch controller will unlock special in-game gear. Each amiibo will unlock three pieces of gear: one headgear, one shirt/clothes, and one pair of shoes. Google has been telling us that their new gaming service Stadia is the hottest thing in gaming, and it seems like this is truth in advertising. Gamers have reported that accessing Stadia using their Google Chromecast Ultra dongle for more than a few hours causes the device to overheat and crash. Stadia is Google’s attempt to break into – or even revolutionize – the gaming industry. It launched last week, and has been called the Netflix of video games....

Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games has laid out some ambitious plans for its next five years, following its recent announcement it would drastically increase its UK studio capacity over the same timeframe. In November, CIG revealed its plan to open an enormous new studio in Manchester, which would grow the company’s current 400-person team to 1000 by 2026. Speaking in an interview with MCV magazine, chief operating officer Carl Jones said that, by that time, he expected the company to be in development on multiple sequels to Squadron 42, the long-awaited and much-delayed single-player story adventure featuring Hollywood stars....

Today Square Enix announced the theme song that will be featured in its upcoming JRPG Star Ocean: The Divine Force. As revealed on Twitter, the publisher secured a rather big deal for the song, which will be “Pandora” by ultra-popular (at least in Japan) singer Hyde. It’ll be the first song he releases in 2022. If you aren’t familiar with Hyde, he’s likely the most well-known and longevous Japanese rock singer, having risen to fame all the way back in 2020 with L’Arc-en-Ciel....

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been out for a week now, and it launched to warm reception. While there a few minor technical flaws that occasionally appear in-game, it ultimately offers players a bonafide Star Wars story complete with intense lightsaber combat. Of course, as players make their way through that story, the story unfolds and Cal Kestis’s journey from Padawan to Jedi Knight comes to an end. This ending has a ton of implications for possible DLC or even a sequel, but to understand how those could come into play, players need to understand the great importance of the game’s ending....

It wasn’t clear as to how much Electronic Arts would support Star Wars: Squadrons past launch. Unlike many of EA’s other titles, Squadrons didn’t have a roadmap or future content plans outlined as part of future DLC or other content plans. To the surprise of many pilots across the galaxy, Motive Studios and EA have confirmed new content is coming to Star Wars: Squadrons starting this month on November 25....
